Wholesale wheeling

The term 'Wholesale wheeling' as it applies to the area of reclamation can be defined as ' The process of sending electricity from one utility to another wholesale purchaser over the transmission lines of an intermediate utility. Under the Energy Policy Act of 1992, utilities are required to provide wholesale transmission wheeling services to any electric utility, federal power marketing agency, or other company generating electric energy for sale in the wholesale market'.

The term 'Wholesale wheeling' as it applies to the area of energy can be defined as ' An arrangement in which electricity is transmitted from a generator to a utility through the transmission facilities of an intervening system'.
